Just took a morning walk through the neighborhood, six streets, to see the aftermath of last nights illegal fireworks. Interesting observation is as to where the remnants are. Not any, except for a few stray bottle rockets, anywhere except in front of homes occupied by people of hispanic descent.

Pick your reason they are either more patriotic then the rest of us;

Yes, Whatever (post 6), last ones were at 12:30 AM in my neighborhood. I also noticed what sounded like gun shots I pretty well versed in discerning gun shots from fireworks sounded like gun shots and lots of them. And way too close. It also seemed that there more loud bangs than in previous years.

My dogs were upset, one very nervous and shaking. I done my best at desensitizing them to loud noises and they do pretty well with occasional fireworks. But the nearness of the booms and the length of time they went on finally got to one of them. She spent the night under my bed, as far back as she could get.

I looking to move out of Concord. It not conductive to good health anymore.

We put our dog in the back bedroom for most of the evening with the TV on loud hoping to drown out most of the blasts. Covered most of them but the really loud ones, and yes we noticed a lot more of those as well.

I has always been torn between doing and not doing fireworks. Where I grew up (some people say I haven they were legal and we would always shot them off. Not now though. I just wish people were more considerate of their neighbors. Had the clean all the firework remnants off my cars and driveway this morning. The street is still a mess.

Concord Parade was great; super to see such community participation and patriotic spirit. And the entertainment was awesome. Blue Devils played twice, actually it looked like there was two performance areas, so all the cheerleaders, dancing horses (awesome!), kung fu artists, all got to show off their talent twice! What a great idea for those on the other side of the park. I counted over 70 entries (i think there were 50 or 60 last year) so cudos to the organizers. Yes, it was hot, but hey, it the 4th of July! I love that our community celebrates our Country independence with such class!

Sorry I missed you. I was only allowed an hour at the Candidates booth. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and signed up as supporters and cheered me on. Loved it. (Now only if I had had a jar

However, you can always contact me at

or my home ((Full time residence)) 950 Alla Avenue, Concord, CA 94518

would love to hear from you and set up a meet.

I was at the park from 5:30 AM at the Concord Diablo Rotary Pancake Breakfast and Corn on the Cob tent. I stayed till we started to close up. When I was not in the candidates booth I was the pancake salesman and delivery person running around the park. We raised money for the charity fund that we spend here locally to help all sorts of projects and in the end we donated the left over uncooked corn (two cases or so) to the food pantry for delivery Tuesday.

I loved the kid race in the morning, the winner was a regular speed demon

and the rest were so cool, I especially liked the little kid who when he came around the corner was totally distracted by another kid with a lollipop in the crowd.

Also likes the mustache guy in the parade, the Blue Devils, the dancing horses and missed the stagecoach but I heard that Wells Fargo wanted a $1500 fee for the Stage Coach for a one loop parade. I still think it would be really cool to get the camel Bailey in the parade.

Afterwards headed over to the singing flag.

As for Helen Allen, she missed the parade, but be nice, this is the first time she has missed the parade in decades and has had a rough time of it lately with the passing of her husband and all. Give her a pass on this one.

Anonymous currently 24. It is really ignorant of you, and many in Claycord to fall back on should move if you don like this or that.

My neighborhood ethnicity has changed drastically in just the last couple of years. Suddenly there were affordable houses for the families that had been in apartments for years thinking they could never buy and get their kids away from that; and even homes they could rent in a neighborhood.

I am in no position to just When I saw the neighborhood language and skin color changing so drastically, I knew I wasn able to sell, but I too thought , oh to go But now,I don want to. With just a couple of exceptions, my newer neighbors all up and down the street are delightful. They play their children in the street. I can hear a couple singing while they are cleaning or doing dishes. I can also hear the occasional accompanied by some words I don understand when one of the kids misbehaves. All of which is what I call good parenting.

Sometimes I wish they didn have to BBQ and party in the driveway because their many friends and relatives spill out from all over the house, and I hate that they love at home fireworks!!!!, but, until it gets out of hand it rarely does do try to accept that it is their culture, and my own way of life is not necessarily the way of life.

27 It was okay to have kids wearing American flags in the parade, too. I was recently at JC Penneys and they were selling jerseys in the kids department of World Cup teams. They had the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, England, Italy, and others. This is America, and has always been that way.

The banning of American flag shirts on Cinco de Mayo was an attempt by a school to prevent a deliberate and intentional provocation by some students who had the specific intent of starting a fight. Don confuse the two.

How can you even bring up these other things? Nobody has even discussed them at all. You are trying to get to peoples emotions of false pretences without actually addressing the real issue. The whole point was that Americans are not allowed to wear American flag on Cinco de Mayo but Mexican flag can be shown on 4th of July?

Have you even heard people speaking out after Cico de Mayo incident? They said that these kids were disrespectful for having American flag on Cinco de Mayo because it is Mexican holiday. One woman even said don wave Mexican flags on 4th of July
While google essay writing services it could be done, I would not recommend it
